FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I Buy Gift Certificates Online?
Yes!
You can email or call to purchase and we will send you a picture of said gift certificate for verification on desk. We also number each gift certificate and note down which client it is for in our records.
Can I Get A Refund For My Gift Certificate?
Unfortunately, no.
Like most establishments, gift certificates are final sale. But if you would like to spend it toward any product or service we offer or let a family member, partner or friend use it toward services or product, that is perfectly fine!
Is There An Expiry Date On My Gift Certificate?
There are no expiry dates on our gift certificates, but we do recommend using them within the first year of receiving them so you don't forget to use it!
The ones who love you who bought you the gift certificate think you deserve to relax soon, and so do we!
I Have A Gift Certificate.
Do I Have To Receive What Is Written On It Or Can I Use It Toward Anything At The Salon?
You may spend your gift certificate however you may wish!
Our gift certificates are a monetary amount that can be put toward any services we provide or product we carry. We normally note what service can be received on the gift certificate because it is what the person buying it for you thought you might like, and so that you know you will be fully covered for said service taxes included, but if you would rather use it toward other services that is perfectly fine with us!
Can I Bring My Child In For A Service?
Yes!
For all child clients, we require parental consent.
For very young clients, we advise on having parental attendance to ensure they are patient and comfortable while receiving their service. We also do double services for manicures/pedicures, with each client in a separate room in close quarters with the door open to ensure comfortability for both clients.
Age requirements for each service are stated below:

Manicures/Pedicures: 8 and up
Facial Waxing: 12 and up
Body Waxing: 16 and up
Destress Massage: 14 and up
Facials: 16 and up
Should I Get A Pedicure, Go To The Podiatrist, Or Both?
Estheticians are trained to help exfoliate the feet, remove buildup on the surface/cuticle of the nail, moisturize, alleviate stress in the feet through massage, aesthetically enhance the feet with polish, provide preventative care as well as provide information on foot hygiene & nail health within our service time amongst conversation and relaxation.

We are NOT TRAINED to cut/file down excessively thick toenails, remove ingrown toenails, treat fungus, remove plantar warts or remove corns, remove extensive skin or callous buildup, treat plantar fasciitis, diabetic feet or feet with significant eczema or psoriasis.
Podiatrists and Foot Care Nurses are trained in these areas of expertise.

We at Serenity Salon Suites want to uphold a high standard of service for our clientele with their health and safety in mind. For your safety, if your esthetician is unable to provide the extent of the help you require within their trained skillset and allotted service time, they may highly recommend going to a Podiatrist/Foot Care Nurse prior to visiting for your pedicure.
Visiting a Podiatrist or Foot Care Nurse one week prior to your appointment at the salon helps us ensure you are able to receive the full benefit of your service at our salon. Podiatrists/Foot Care Nurses may be partially covered/fully covered under health insurance plans, which can help with the cost.
Cancellation Policy
Our staff work on commission, meaning that they only get paid for each service they provide for clients.
When clients no show or cancel last minute for their appointments, this makes it extremely hard for them to be able to fit another client who is on our waiting list into that time slot, possibly resulting in a loss of wages.
To ensure appointment attendance, we have implemented text reminders 24 hours prior to your appointment, allowing you the opportunity to give us notice if you do need to cancel.

If an appointment is no showed or cancelled on the day of your service, we require 50% of the service you were to receive (i.e. $50 for a $100 service) to ensure our staff's wages are not affected by the sudden change to their day and can be sent electronically.

If you would like to reschedule rather than cancel, please let us know with as much time as possible, since our books fill up quickly so we can ensure you are able to receive the time slot you desire.
Appointment Punctuality
Similar to an appointment with a dentist, the way our appointment times work allows our estheticians enough time to greet you, bring you into the service room to prepare for your service, perform your service, accept your payment and clean up after the service before the next client shows up.
Punctuality is important so we can provide you with excellent service.

When you show up 10/15/20 minutes late for any service without warning, this ruins their punctuality for their other clients that day.

We understand things can happen, but our estheticians are allowed to refuse to offer you your service and recommend rescheduling your appointment if you are late due to our time constraints. If you are running late, please give us a call so we can be informed that you are still arriving, and your service may have to be adjusted due to time contraints.

Therefore, we suggest arriving 10 minutes prior to your appointment and welcome you to unwind in our waiting area, choose the perfect polish color, enjoy coffee and snacks before for your service time to ensure punctuality and a happy client and esthetician!
